In the plenary vote for the European Parliament, a mistake in electronic voting is made easily. Either the MEP is mistaken in the buttons, or the MEP is not sure whether he / she has pushed on time.

The Secretariat of the European Parliament only makes a PDF file available at the end of each voting day. This contains for each amendment and final vote a large list of names of who voted for, against or abstained. Checking and comparing manually is a labor-intensive job and is also prone to error.

The Votecheck software tool addresses this gap by providing a so-called Excel pivot table by e-mail at the end of each voting day, whereby it has already been checked for the subscriber's party whether every MEP has voted in the same way. Moreover, it can be seen how the party voted towards their political group and towards the parties of the country of origin. Adjustments can be made within these pivot tables to view voting results from any desired angle.
